2019 saw the Cottage Garden Society show at Gardeners' World Live again. The set-up team did an amazing job, and with a smaller display, still managing a Bronze. A big thank you to all who helped out.
The Chair, Patricia Foster, proudly showing off the Bronze award, which the Set-up team's hard work produced. Special thanks to: Sue Clarke, _____, _____, _____.
The youngest member with our award.
Things got busy very quickly from the moment the public were coming in.
Our President, Nick Hamilton, (Barnsdale Gardens) came over to check on how we were doing. He also supplied all the great plants on our stand.
On the last day, and clearing up after possibly the busiest day of the show, were Sue Clarke (taking the photo), _____, Steve Jones, _______ & _______.
In 2018, several members of the committee were on the stand, along with a good number of members from all over the country. It gave visitors a perfect oppotunity to talk with a large selection of members from all over. It was a glorious week, and well worth it visiting.

In 2013, Sue Clarke and Maureen Hersee arranged the display at GWL, several other people including Jean Roscoe, David and Glenna Toyne and Clare Winfrey helped with the set up. The show was open 12th-16th June. The display won the award of 'Commended' from the RHS.
For 2012, two members from Derbyshire, Sally Meecham and Ruth Sands, very kindly volunteered to do the display for us. The show ran from 13th - 17th June. Their delightful display is pictured below. Sadly, it seems the RHS did not award medals to National Society exhibits this year, which was very disappointing for Sally, Ruth and all their helpers. However, the display was Highly Commended and received third prize in its category.
In 2011 the theme of the garden, arranged by Sue Clarke, was A Homage to Margery Fish, the Doyenne of Cottage Gardening (see East Lambrook Manor Gardens). It was awarded a bronze medal by the RHS. This is the first time the Society stands have been judged by the RHS.
In 2010, Sue Clarke arranged the display and it was "Highly Commended".
The CGS display at this show in 2009 was set up by Stuart Jones helped by members of the Shropshire Group. It was Highly Commended - no higher award can be given to a Society stand at this show.
