The group meets twice a year at Brownsword Hall, Poundbury, Dorchester for gardening talks and bring and buy plant sales. In summer, visits are organised to gardens throughout the county. New members welcome to all meetings and to join group visits.

Well known garden writer Helen Yemm is to be the speaker at the next Dorset Cottage Garden Society meeting on Sunday 20 March. The meeting will be held at Poundbury Village Hall on the outskirts of Dorchester. Doors open at 2pm and the meeting will start at 2.30pm.
Garden visit on Thursday 8 September
We assemble at 11am at Heron’s Mead, East Burton, Wool. A well stocked plantsman’s garden with varied interest and colour, which is all on one level. There will be a plant stall and light refreshments.
We then move on about 3 miles to Moreton where lunch is available at Moreton Tea Rooms or the Dovecote café at Moreton Gardens.
In the afternoon we re-group at 2pm for a guided tour of the gardens at Moreton with head gardener Tim Newman. Morning coffee and afternoon tea are included in the cost of £10 per person.
