D'Arcy & Everest - a family run nursery based in Somersham, Cambridgeshire, which specialises in alpine plants.

Hidden Valley Gardens - run by Peter and Tricia Howard near Par, in Cornwall.  They have a three acre garden, which is open Thursday - Monday throughout April - October.  They have mainly herbaceous plants, including collections of dahlias, agapanthus and crocosmia.  Email: hiddenvalleygardens@yahoo.com  Tel: 01208 873 225.

Hillview Hardy Plants - run by John and Ingrid Millington in Worfield, near Bridgnorth, Shropshire.  Open March 1st - October 15th, 9am-5pm, closed Sundays.

Millrace Nursery and Garden - run by Carol Carthy in Garforth, Leeds.  This is a small specialist nursery growing over 1,000 varities of hardy perennials, all from stock plants in the garden.  Specialises in asters, astrantias, campanulas, geraniums, hemerocallis and veronicas.  The garden is open for groups of 10 or more by appointment.  Email: carol@millrace-plants.co.uk  Tel: 01132 869233

Out of the Comon Way - run by Margaret Mason and Joanna Davidson at Penhyddgan, Boduan, Pwllheli LL53 8YH.  A small specialist nursery, mainly cottage-style hardy perennials, some very uncommon, a few shrubs and half-hardies.  All hardy stock is self-produced and grown out of doors all year round.  Nursery open by appointment, plants supplied by mail order (catalogue available) and at plant sales.  Email: ziggymen22@hotmail.co.uk  Tel: 01758 721 577.

The Cottage Herbery started in 1976 by Kim and Rob Hurst.  Based at Knighton-on-Terne, near Tenbury Wells, Worcs WR15 8LT.  The nursery is open only for pre-booked events or organised events.
